NMCB 62 / Rota (74-75) and Okinawa(76) deployments. A shout out to Mike Roberts. Just read your post about Wolfman from above mentioned deployments, and some of our old Alpha company guys. I remember a couple of other CM's; Steve Maday and Mark Rundgren from Minnesota, along with those mentioned. Good to hear you're working in AZ., all we read about is the housing crisis & illegal immigration woes there. All the best to you.

Greetings to all

I'm on a jobsite in St Johns AZ building absorbers (wet scrubbers) for an existing power plant. I met a guy in the field who inquired whether it was my truck that (proudly) displays the Seabee logo. To make a long story short, it was Wolfman from the Rota (74-75) and Okinawa
(76) deployments. It took us both a few days to conjure up the images of what we used to look like, but we did remember a lot of the old Alpha Co. guys - Sam DeMao Peaches, Rags, Killer, Hootchie, Jim Orosco, et al. Goes to show you that it is indeed a small world, and you never know when you might meet a brother. My very best to all of you out there.

CM3 Michael Roberts

I noticed that NMCB 62 cruise books from 1983 - 1986 were missing from the cruise book page. I have these in my possession. I was with NMCB 62 from July 1982 - July 1986. Would the NMCB 62 Alumni Association accept the donation of these cruisebooks?
Contact me at the above e-mail. EA1 Walker

Fellow MINUTEMEN. We had another outstanding NMCB 62 reunion at the East Coast All Seabee Reunion held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, on the waterfront, at Hampton, Virginia the end of February. Attending our business meeting Saturday afternoon were Malcolm Smith, Hanover, PA: Jim Thomas, Gulfport, MS: Paul DiFebo, Wilmington, DE: John Frederick, DuQuoin, IL: Duane Vance, McDonough, GA: John Brian, Baltimore, MD: Larry Wheeler, Edinburgh, IN: Joe Tack, Langhorne, PA: Al Archer, Edgewater, MD: Joe Grocki, Smithfield, VA: Gerry Napert, Potomac Falls, VA: Lyle Stewart, St. Johns, AZ: Rich Micucci and Glenn Williams, both from Philadelphia, PA: Jonathan Grohs, Torrington, CT: Norm Hahn, Eau Claire, WI: and Price Richardson, Salem, VA. Seven of those attending were plank owners. More shipmates would have attended but there were multipal Battalion meetings going on at the same time. The tight ecomony also caused many to not attend this year. We gave away four custom designed NMCB 62 door prizes to attending alumni group members. John Brian; oldest at 67: Joe Grocki; youngest at 49: Lyle Stewart; traveled farthest from St. Johns, Arizona and Price Richardson, Alumni Group President. Two more upcoming reunions in 2011. First in August at Fayetteville, NC for the Seabee Veterans of America 64th annual convention and second in October at the home of the Minutemen, Gulfport, MS. That should be a great reunion as always. See the "Reunion" tab for more information as it becomes available. Also please fill out and submit the on-line biography and membership application on the website. Remember, the Alumni Group Membership Dues are what pay for our website. Thank you and CAN DO.
