I was a CM3 with 62 in 1970 at Hill 55. I've lost contact with everyone I served with over the years. Just last week I visited Gulfport...compared to late 1969 and 70 it looks like Disney World. All the fine brick quarters for enlisted - they look like a Fairfield Inn with all the separate doors. A fancy movie theater, nice gift store, golf course, family housing and on and on. It looked a lot like I'd made the wrong turn and ended up at Keesler AFB on down the road. Spoke to lady at Gift Shop, was told Frank Newcomb had passed, but John Paul Jones was still keeping on in his 80's. Been a long time...glad for the experience, but not the conflict.Submitted by: norm
